Lamberts® Vitamin A provides 5000iu per two‑capsule serving, supplied in the palmitate form — a true retinoid (retinol) rather than a precursor. Retinoids are naturally bioavailable, meaning they are readily absorbed and efficiently utilised by the body.
Vitamin A is a fat‑soluble nutrient typically found in fish liver oils, oily fish, and in plant foods as pro‑vitamin A carotenoids. While it is often recognised for its role in supporting the growth and maintenance of epithelial tissues, vitamin A is also essential for the visual cycle, contributing to the formation of visual purple in the retina. Beyond this, it is well known for helping to maintain normal skin, mucous membranes, vision, immune function, and iron metabolism.
To support effective uptake, Lamberts® suspends the vitamin A in sunflower seed oil, creating capsules that are easy to absorb and suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.
