Florisene is a clinically supported supplementation programme developed for women experiencing Chronic Telogen Effluvium (CTE)—a form of excessive but reversible hair shedding. CTE affects an estimated 4.8 million women in the UK, and research shows that the main underlying factor is low serum ferritin, which reflects the body’s iron stores. When ferritin levels fall, gradual hair thinning can occur, often noticed as a smaller ponytail or reduced hair volume.
Low ferritin is increasingly common due to reduced red meat intake and menstrual blood loss. Studies indicate that when ferritin levels are raised above a certain threshold, normal hair growth can resume.
Florisene provides a clinically relevant iron programme, combining a highly absorbable form of iron with a significant level of L‑Lysine, plus two additional iron‑synergist nutrients. Research shows that low L‑Lysine intake can worsen reduced ferritin levels, and for some women, ferritin will not improve without supplementary L‑Lysine.

Directions
- Take 1 tablet daily.
- Florisene should be taken with water, half to one hour before food or on an empty stomach.
It is best to avoid drinks containing milk, tea and coffee, within an hour of taking Florisene as these drinks affect absorption of the nutrients

Cautions
Other iron containing supplements should not be taken whilst taking Florisene.
Use in pregnancy during breastfeeding or if planning to become pregnant: Consult a doctor before taking Florisene.
Florisene should not be taken whilst taking oral antibiotics.
Florisene should not be taken within 2 hours of taking any medication including indigestion remedies.
This amount of iron may cause mild stomach upset in sensitive individuals.
This product contains iron which if taken in excess may be harmful to young children. Keep out of sight and reach.
Florisene is safe at the recommended intake. In cases of overdosage seek medical help.
