As research into turmeric continues to expand, many new formulas have appeared on the market, but Lamberts® has developed a turmeric complex that reflects the most up‑to‑date nutritional findings. The formula combines a high‑grade turmeric extract standardised to 95% curcumins with lutein, one of the most significant carotenoids found in the human diet.
Interest in lutein has grown well beyond its traditional link with eye health, following the discovery that it is the primary carotenoid concentrated in the brain. Studies indicate a connection between lutein levels and areas of the brain rich in fatty acids such as DHA, suggesting it may play an important antioxidant role. Typical dietary intake is thought to be only 1–2mg per day, far below the levels considered meaningful in research. To address this, Lamberts® includes 10mg of free‑form lutein per two tablets, supported by rosemary extract to help maintain the stability of the active compounds.
The formula is further strengthened with vitamin B12, which contributes to normal neurological and psychological function, and zinc, included for its role in supporting normal cognitive performance.
